Preferred file formats

To ensure accurate and prompt processing, please provide production-ready drawings whenever possible.

2D drawings
  • .dxf — Drawing Exchange Format
  • .pdf — Vector PDF, not a raster image
3D models
  • .sldprt — SolidWorks Part
  • .step / .stp — STEP model
  • .iges / .igs — IGES model

3D models and orthographic drawings are especially helpful for thermoforming dies and specialty tooling.

OTHER GUIDELINES

Help us quote accurately

  • Use a 1:1 scale. Include a reference dimension for scale verification.
  • Use vector line types. Raster images cannot be read as cutting geometry.
  • Indicate the view. Note whether the drawing is print side / outside view or die side / inside view.
